we offer you a bird-watching tour in the middle of the amazon rainforest,about 20 KM away northeast from Iquitos. staying in a lodge ,you will be able to observe the rich biodiversity of birds with a series of adventures and activities.with this tour you will participate in a project to support and conserve the indigenous community of san juan de huashalado.
DAY 1 : We pick you up from airport or hotel .9:00 am we leave by river to the lodge .lunch.hike around the área to identify the flora,the birds are looking for. Dinner.7:00 pm.
DAY 2: Early morning expedition to a remote forest to see the already famous SHANSHO (opisthocomus hoazin) lunch.boat ride on the Yanayacu river ,in search of more different species of birds, Dinner at 7:00 pm. Excursion to see nocturnal birds.
DAY 3 : early morning excursión by boat then a long walk to visit one of the most remote lagoon YAHUACOHA. breakfast in the jungle, here you can see not only birds ,but also insects,a variety of monkeys,colorful of butterflies,and if you are lucky you can see anaconda crossing the path.lunch,boat ride to Fatima village the walk thru the road to GARZAL LAGOON . Dinner at 7:00 pm. Night walk.
DAY 4 : Early morning excursión to visit the Amazon islands and observe endemic birds,breakfast on the boat. We continue by boat along the amazon river for more species fo birds ,swim in the same place where the Pink and gray dolphins are. Lunch at 1:00 pm.transfer to Iquitos ,dropping you off at the hotel or airport.
